6.15pm: I received a call from william. He said he "中" le. He told me that he received a call from "XXX" company. Informing him that he won a prize either a 7D6N Bangkok trip and all he needs to do is to make his way to Orchard to attend a talk. He asked me accompany him there before attend a mahjong session at James' house.
7.05pm: I met him at Eunos MRT station. Actually both of us knew that it's 100% a
scam but however, "We must been possessed by the Devil at that moment of time..." and we are really spending efforts on finding the place.
7.40pm: We are there! [ ROLEX CENTRE #18-02 Discovery 8 XXX holdings company ]
7.45pm: A lady welcomed us. She informed us that in order to claim the prize, we'll need to attend a 90mins talk. She passed William a form & ask us to fill up our personal details. At moment, i pulled william away.
I said: "Something really not right?!?? Are we really wants to waste the 90mins."
Willaim said: "Dunno leh? Will we kena cheat?
I said: "Nvm. We go in 1st. I set my hp alarm at 8pm. Then i pretend to go out & answer a call.
After that, I'll call u, then u come out meet me & run away. OK?"
Willaim said: "OK!"
(Right after that, a Malay family walked out of a room empty-handed and we sensed that they looked not very happy. We looked at each other.)
William said :"Want to go?"
I said: "RUN!"
8.05pm: We passed the form back to the lady informing her that we need 2 go & not interested in the talk. She stared at us & said we can leave in an impolite manners. Soon after we left. William received a call from them asking him why the sudden changing of mind. They even scolded him over the line.
Damn these people!
At the end, we found ourselves walking ard Orchard road until 9pm+ then took a cab to pasir ris to james' house.
